The Joy of My Life

I’m amazed every day that I get to work intimately and often with some of my dearest friends. City Mouse (, has been working so hard to grind out the final details on our EP’s rendering, both with mastering and the actual printing of it. But, we’re here dammit!

1000 copies of our first ever EP should arrive at our doorstep sometime today. We couldn’t be more excited. Please follow us online at, and (see a pattern emerging? You get the idea…) to find out when and where it will be available!

In the meantime, please enjoy our a stripped down version of our EP’s title track, “Joy of Life”. This video is also our submission to NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest. Enjoy!

Guess what?! Redemption… that’s what.

I’m getting another opportunity to open for the one, the only, the inimitable, songwriter extraordinaire Mr. Steve Poltz!

You may remember that a similar (okay, identical) bill was booked a few weeks back. And, from my perspective at least, a small curse seemed to have befallen it! Days before the show, Steve took ill and had to call off the next leg of his tour while he followed doctor’s orders and recouped. Then, the night of the show, the sound guy took an emergency visit to the hospital! I couldn’t believe it…

Of course, I’m being mostly facetious here. After Steve had to cancel, Eddie’s Attic, in wonderful fashion, allowed us to combine the shows and I got to play with Faye Webster, one of my favorite local songbirds, and Steelism – a group of stellar Nashville-based instrumentalists that I had been admiring from afar. It was one of the coolest nights of my life! And now they are inviting me back for another stab at it.

Needless to say, this one has been a long time coming and I am anxiously awaiting it’s arrival! Won’t you join me?

Busy as a B.

Hello World! (and goodbye free time!)

Man, I’ve been grinding ya’ll! But, don’t get me wrong. I am NOT complaining. Quite the opposite. Eclectic Music Studios in the morning Atlanta’s premier listening room at night has me tied up in all the best ways for about 70 hours a week. Despite that fact, I’ve never been more productive! If nothing else it’s all just stoking the fire. I’ve got this new website up and running (sort of…) , a solo album on the way and a new rock/blues band – High Tide Rising – in the works!

As if that’s not enough to be happy about, City Mouse is finally out of our semi-hiatus. Our man, Michael, has fully recovered, our debut EP is almost ready and we’ve got an East Coast Tour NEXT WEEK!! I’m excited about every bit of it, but especially City Mouse’s tour. Find us on Facebook at and follow us on Instagram and Twitter, handle @CityMouseMusic to keep up! It’s going to be a blast and we want to take you along with us.
